How it all began
The brand name: Rooties comes from "roots", which symbolizes respect for the natural shape of the foot.
Our symbol: A monkey, reinforces the connection to our origins and the original anatomy of our feet.
The story: Rooties Barefoot was born from my experience, both as a mother and as a consumer. While searching for the best solution for the natural development of my daughter's feet, I also discovered the benefits of Barefoot shoes myself. As someone who has always suffered from foot problems, I noticed great improvements when adopting this concept. However, I noticed a lack of respectful footwear options on the market that I identified with and wanted to buy for Teresa. That's how I decided to launch a brand with more classic and sober, yet always stylish, shoes, giving rise to Rooties Barefoot.
Since it was my daughter Teresa who truly led me to delve into this topic and consequently launch the brand, the names of the models are inspired by the words she is now learning and pronounces in a funny way, in her own manner.
Meanwhile, Manel was born, and that year we launched two new models. Since Teresa and Manel are our inspiration, we gave them the names Tété and Magu, the names by which they are affectionately called here at home.
Our goal is to continue launching models, always Barefoot, with a more classic line that adds a lot of flair to all outfits.

Produced on a small scale, in the North of Portugal, with natural materials and responsible processes.

Minimalist, foot-shaped shoes that allow for free movement. Zero-drop, no heel counter, and with toe space.
Classic Style
A more classic style that accommodates foot health and respects its anatomy and natural movement.
